BEIJING, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher in the morning session Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.1 percent to end at 3,428.65 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.03 percent higher at 11,467.26 points.
