Ambassador: welcome you to come. As Togo’s ambassador, I am pleased to introduce investment situation of our country for you.

Secretary-General: Thank you for your invitation. I am glad to visit the Embassy. China Africa Industrial Forum is committing itself to China- Africa economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchange. Annually, We make the strategic plan for African trade and investment, organize Chinese enterprises to invest and investigate in African countries. 2010 African Energy and Mineral Seminar has also been held by us in November 30, 2010. We will hold the second China-Africa Industrial Forum in October this year. 
Ambassador: Well, to summary up, investment in Togo has the following advantages: excellent ability and broad space for development; broad market entrance( West African Economic and Monetary Union), open and flexible regulatory regimes; suitable tax system for domestic demand; exploiting resources outside and export assistance; relaxed foreign exchange regulations; stable financial system; complete telecommunications systems; free trade zone etc.

Secretary-General: China and Togo established diplomatic relations on September 19, 1972. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, bilateral relation has developed smoothly. You have worked in China for ten years, what do you think about China-Togo cooperation? China Africa Industrial  Forum has dozens of African experts and nearly hundreds of company member. We hope the two sides has close contact in the future and carry out specific cooperation projects.

Ambassador: China and Togo have the frequent exchanges in politics. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, China has undertaken many assistant projects for Togo. Currently, agricultural technology demonstration centers and other project are carried out. In 2008, the first China-Togo economic and trade conference was held in Lome. China mainly exported textiles, machinery and electronic products, footwear, clothing ,tea and so on and imported cotton etc. In 1996, Togo’s capital Lome City made good-friend city with Shenzhen. In 2008, China signed the agreement with Lome University for Confucius Institute at Lome University of Togo.
