Souvenirs are objects that embody the cultural values of a particular tourist attraction and that allow tourists to refresh their memories when going back home. The Palace Museum has developed a wide range of cultural products to extend the longevity of the museum-preserved artifacts.

The Palace Museum souvenirs are divided into 13 categories and over 5,000 varieties, including jade wares, wood wares, bronze objects, jewelry, silk products, books, stationery and so on. At the same time, the Palace Museum tries to nurture its brand by putting trademark “Palace Museum” or “Forbidden City” on 827 cultural products it produces.

Although the Palace Museum has made relentless efforts to market its souvenir products line, social influence is still the top priority. Souvenirs that carry the cultural essence of the Forbidden City can not only help convey the cultural message, but also can satisfy visitors’ wish to “bring the Palace Museum culture back home”.

All the souvenirs designed by the Palace Museum can be bought in the designated souvenir stores inside this scenic spot.
